Mutezilî Düşüncede Nübüvvet Meselesi ve Hz. Muhammed
İslâmî İlimler Dergisi,
2006
Bu sebeple nübüvvet Allah’a vaciptir.
The Nubuwwa and The Prophet Muhammad in the Mu‘tazilite Thought
Mutazilite theologians laid down their principles as ‘al-usūl al-khamsah (five roots or fundamentals) and placed focus on theological and philosophical issues. The propethood (nubuwwa) also have an important place in this sect. Since the Mutazilite school saw the institution of prophethood in favour of mankind, to fulfil it, they asserted, was incumbent upon God. The point, here, at issue was the manifestation of God's grace (lutf). God observes the goodness of humankind. It was incumbent on God to creat the best and the most beneficial. So, the propethood (nubuwwa) was incumbent upon God. The propethood for Mutazila is relevant to the necessity of God's creating the most beneficial and perfect. Otherwise, it would mean to describe God as an Oppressor. In this context, this article attempts to provide insights into the Prophethood (nubuwwa) and the Prophet Muhammad in the Mu‘tazilite Thought.
